Lawyers for Human Rights provides free legal services to vulnerable, marginalised and indigent individuals and communities – both non-national and South Africa, who are victims of unlawful infringements of their constitutional rights. They, along with Praekelt Foundation and Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration from the United States, they launched a first-of-its-kind, low-cost mobile information service for non-nationals living in South Africa.
We were asked to brand the mobile service, Help@hand and develop materials for both ‘above the line’ (print, radio, outdoor) and ‘below the line’ (PR, digital, social media, events) advertising. The mobile service was launched in Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg at 3 different launch events.
We were given the Help@hand project and involved in everything, from concept to completion: from branding, to identifying and creating appropriate messaging to direct the target, to organising three different events targeting different audiences, to creating advertisements and identifying appropriate media platforms to networking within the various communities.
