Digital campaign for Sonke Gender Justice
Branding & graphic design:
Design for development
16 Days of Activism is an international awareness campaign raising issues of gender-based violence, and more specifically, violence against women and children.
Sonke Gender Justice is commited to advancing gender equality, effective responses to HIV and AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights and deepening democracy through positive changes in social norms and practices.
They wanted to create a social media campaign for 16 Days of Activism which has the capacity to extend beyond 16 Days and throughout the year. The name of the campaign is #Safe: “Beyond 16 days – we need a national plan to end gender-based violence.”
We designed a campaign look and feel for their social media campaign, which is aligned with their current brand look and feel, but has the potential to be extended over the next few years. We went with a bright, vibrant and powerful colour combination which also creates a feeling of seriousness.
